The actual and complete name of Mr. Leon Weinstein second book is “Capitalism 101 – My Tea party principles.” It is now available as an eBook and as a download file for a tiny charge. I am urging everyone to read it. The book to the all online book shelves in a few weeks.

It is essential for everyone to understand fully and exactly what Capitalism is suppose to be. The term and its true meaning has been altered throughout time and Mr. Weinstein’s books will place you back on track to understanding democracy and real freedom. He explains how politics of big government halts the freedom for its citizens to improve themselves and the society around them. Capitalism has nothing to do with becoming rich at all. It has to do with individuality and having the ability to improve living conditions for everyone who is involved. It pushes competition in a positive manner and towards self reliance.

Capitalism is an economical system, not a political system but does need some minimal governing to protect its citizens. A Republic and/or a Democracy type of governments serve as the ideal ones foe Capitalism to work properly because they give the ability and right for their citizens to own private property. Mr. Weinstein, who lived in Russia under a Communist system, has the unique understanding of two contradicting types of governmental systems. It would be very advisable and very educational for Americans and/or others who distrust and/or misunderstand Capitalism, to pay closer attention to Mr. Leon Weinstein as he simplifies it for you. Read Mr. Weinstein’s books and you will understand further.

Excerpt from Introduction:

I have to confess, I am one of them. I am one of those terrible people who think that the government shouldn’t take from us what it pleases whenever it pleases. I am one of the terrorists who are obnoxiously sure that a paycheck is better than all unemployment benefits combined. I am one of the monsters that have the audacity to insist that the government can spend only what the productive citizens agreed to give it and not one cent more. I am also not sure it is a good idea to allow people who never contributed to the society and didn’t pay any taxes to vote on how much to take from others and how to distribute the money. I personally think that “No representation without taxation” (if you do not pay taxes, you can’t decide what to do with them) would be a good starting point to change what is not good in America today.

I am certain that a capitalist economy can’t support a socialist welfare state and that if we will not change our ways very soon, the American political system will collapse. Please do not say it is impossible. No one would believe a mere thirty years ago that the Soviet Empire would crumble during our lifetime. It is however gone and our children will know it only from the history books……..More Excerpts

I’m glad the issue of “cookies” has finally been challenged on a big stage. Accusing Facebook of placing cookies on your computer in order to monitor your web surfing habits is an old illegal practice which is better known as “Spyware.” This article explains the latest news:

Facebook is getting more heat over two controversial practices–tracking users after they log out and new automatic “frictionless sharing.”

The tracking, done with cookies on users’ computers, has prompted criticism from lawmakers and now a lawsuit, while privacy groups and regulators in Ireland are concerned about a new sharing feature that automatically posts user activities to news feeds without users intentionally doing so.

A blogger wrote last weekend that he discovered that his Web surfing was being tracked by Facebook even after he logged out. Facebook admitted that it personalizes content by putting cookie files on user computers that remain even when users are logged out, but told CNET earlier this week that it quickly acted to remove uniquely identifying data from post-logout cookies and that it did not store or use that cookie data for tracking.

“This admission came only after an Australian technology blogger exposed Facebook’s practice of monitoring members who have logged out, although he brought the problems to the defendant’s attention a year ago,” according to the complaint filed in federal court in San Jose, Calif., and reported on by Bloomberg today.

The lawsuit was filed by Perrin Aikens Davis of Illinois and it seeks class-action status. It seeks unspecified damages and ask the court to block the tracking based on alleged violations of federal wiretapping, computer fraud, and abuse laws, according to the report.

“We believe this complaint is without merit and we will fight it vigorously,” Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes told CNET in an e-mailed statement.

Also today, the Irish data protection commissioner plans to investigate Facebook’s privacy-related activities following complaints by privacy groups in Europe and the U.S., according to a Reuters report.

It’s been a rough week for the company. Yesterday, a collection of advocacy groups asked the Federal Trade Commission to ban Facebook’s “frictionless sharing” and new Timeline features announced at F8 last week. On Wednesday, two U.S. congressmen asked the FTC to investigate Facebook over the post logout cookies. And a Chicago company has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Facebook over the Timeline feature……Read More

Facebook’s latest Timeline feature could have been in the works for years or could have been purposely introduced as a defense mechanism against any future accusations concerning privacy. But unfortunately, Timeline feature itself was immediately challenged as soon as it was introduced. So this most recent Logout and Frictionless Sharing accusations should be coupled with the Timeline feature. All these features could not function at all if a cookie did not exist. First and foremost, everyone should get it through their minds that the internet, the world wide web is PUBLIC.

The faster we all learn to accept this fact, the easier we will understand exactly the concept of a cookie. Our computers basically log onto the internet automatically, so as soon as we boot our computers, we are public. To be completely private, one must physically disconnect the modem or router from their computer. Just notice the icons light up and activate as a computer boots up. There, in plain view, one could see the exact moment when the computer finds the internet connection.

This could be rather boring for most of us, so we prefer to go online and surf the web. Everything is built around the internet. Every major company, including all banking institutions have their own website. And like Facebook, all social related websites are included. Every single website or blog that requires the user to register with a username and password, will place a cookie on the hard drive. Cookies are not as dangerous as some have reported but can be used as a tool to track a user’s preferences and that is considered to most as trespassing.

Learning all about “Cookies” is important:

A cookie is the term given to describe a type of message that is given to a Web browser by a Web server. The main purpose of a cookie is to identify users and possibly prepare customized Web pages or to save site login information for you.

When you enter a Web site using cookies, you may be asked to fill out a form providing personal information; like your name, e-mail address, and interests. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser, which then stores the information for later use. The next time you go to the same Web site, your browser will send the cookie to the Web server. The message is sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

A Web server has no memory so the hosted Web site you are visiting transfers a cookie file of the browser on your computer’s hard disk so that the Web site can remember who you are and your preferences. This message exchange allows the Web server to use this information to present you with customized Web pages. So, for example, instead of seeing just a generic welcome page you might see a welcome page with your name on it…….Learn More

More about cookies, spyware, laws against the use of cookies…etc:

What are cookies in computers?

Also known as browser cookies or tracking cookies, cookies are small, often encrypted text files, located in browser directories. They are used by web developers to help users navigate their websites efficiently and perform certain functions. Due to their core role of enhancing/enabling usability or site processes, disabling cookies may prevent users from using certain websites.

Cookies are created when a user’s browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website’s server. Computer Cookies are created not just by the website the user is browsing but also by other websites that run ads, widgets, or other elements on the page being loaded. These cookies regulate how the ads appear or how the widgets and other elements function on the page. For Managing cookies for different browsers see here

Standard uses for browser cookies

Website servers set cookies to help authenticate the user if the user logs in to a secure area of the website. Login information is stored in a cookie so the user can enter and leave the website without having to re-enter the same authentication information over and over.More information

Session Cookies are also used by the server to store information about user page activities so users can easily pick up where they left off on the server’s pages. By default, web pages really don’t have any ‘memory’. Cookies tell the server what pages to show the user so the user doesn’t have to remember or start navigating the site all over again. Cookies act as a sort of “bookmark” within the site. Similarly, cookies can store ordering information needed to make shopping carts work instead of forcing the user to remember all the items the user put in the shopping cart.

Persistent or tracking Cookies are also employed to store user preferences. Many websites allow the user to customize how information is presented through site layouts or themes. These changes make the site easier to navigate and/or lets user leave a part of the user’s “personality” at the site. For Information on session and persistent and tracking cookies, see here

Cookie security and privacy issues

Cookies are NOT viruses. Cookies use a plain text format. They are not compiled pieces of code so they cannot be executed nor are they self-executing. Accordingly, they cannot make copies of themselves and spread to other networks to execute and replicate again. Since they cannot perform these functions, they fall outside the standard virus definition……..Learn More

What about this Facebook Logout problem, are they fixing it? Yes and if you have Facebook go to “Security Settings” and you will see new features available. It seems that Facebook is coming clean and showing the social magnets how much more they know about user interactions and browsing tendencies “within” Facebook itself. But the issue of the “LIKE” and “Share” buttons are the real problem here because it can be found on a multitude of other websites that have nothing to do with Facebook. The Europeans call it illegal:

Facebook’s Like button today was found in violation of Germany’s strict privacy laws. Commissioner Thilo Weichert, who works for the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection(ULD) in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein, said the social network’s plugin, which allows Internet users to express their appreciation of something online, illegally puts together a profile of their Web habits.

The ULD said if you visit Facebook.com or use a Facebook plugin such as the Like button, you should expect to be tracked by the company for two years: Facebook allegedly builds a broad profile for individuals not on the service as well as a more personalized profile of its members.

Traffic and content data are transferred to Facebook’s servers in the US and an analysis is sent back to the website owner concerning the usage. The ULD believes such profiling infringes German and European data protection law. Users are not given sufficient information about this and the wording in Facebook’s conditions of use and privacy statements do not meet the legal requirements relevant for compliance of legal notice, privacy consent, and general terms of use, according to the ULD.

The ULD is demanding that websites in Schleswig-Holstein remove their Facebook Pages as well as the Like button from their websites by the end of September 2011. If they do not, they will face a fine of up to €50,000 ($72,000).

As for Internet users, the ULD is advising “to keep their fingers from clicking on social plugins” such as the Facebook Like button and not to set up a Facebook account if they wish to avoid a comprehensive profiling by Palo Alto. Profiles are personal information, but Facebook requires that its members use their actual name, the organization points out…….Read More

And there’s more problems coming, in the form of Apps:

While the focus of today’s Facebook announcements was the new Timeline profile, the Read, Watch, Listen media sharing apps have generated a lot of interest too. These so-called “social apps” haven’t been widely launched yet, but you can get a sense of what they will do by adding a couple of brand new newspaper social apps to your Facebook profile: The Guardian’s app and one from Washington Post. Be forewarned though, with these apps you’re automatically sending anything you read into your Facebook news feed……Read More

This link was from an interesting article I read:

Yesterday I wrote that Twitter should be scared of Facebook. Today it’s worse. I, as a mere user of Facebook, am seriously scared of them.

Every time they make a change, people get angry. I’ve never myself been angry because I have always assumed everything I post to Facebook is public. That the act of putting something there, a link, picture, mini-essay, is itself a public act.

This time, however, they’re doing something that I think is really scary, and virus-like. The kind of behavior deserves a bad name, like phishing, or spam, or cyber-stalking.

What clued me in was an article on ReadWriteWeb that says that just reading an article on their site may create an announcement on Facebook. Something like: “Bull Mancuso just read a tutorial explaining how to kill a member of another crime family.” Bull didn’t comment. He didn’t press a Like button. He just visited a web page. And an announcement was made on his behalf to everyone who follows him on Facebook. Not just his friends, because now they have subscribers, who can be total strangers.

Now, I’m not technically naive. I understood before that the Like buttons were extensions of Facebook. They were surely keeping track of all the places I went. And if I went to places that were illegal, they would be reported to government agencies. Bull Mancuso in the example above has more serious things to worry about than his mother finding out that he’s a hitman for the mob. (Both are fictitious characters, and in my little story his mom already knows he’s a hitman.)

There could easily be lawsuits, divorces, maybe even arrests based on what’s made public by Facebook.

People joke that privacy is over, but I don’t think they imagined that the disclosures would be so proactive. They are seeking out information to report about you. That’s different from showing people a picture that you posted yourself. If this were the government we’d be talking about the Fourth Amendment…….Read More

Would it be recommendable to continue with this article or would it be just repetition? Just with the information provided here, anyone and everyone would agree that there is no real privacy on the internet. But I mentioned it at the start of this piece, the internet is Public. Facebook is in the business of recruiting more users, so they will use all the tricks possible to keep their reputation strong, it’s all about numbers. Sure, you can adjust these features but they are so hard to get to. If one uses Facebook as a promotional tool, then it’s great! Keep it like that though, don’t get personal!

By Robert Snizek

There is a tendency (especially in today’s political climate) to frame the Founders in “right” or “left” terms. I am pretty confident that the vast majority colonial Americans did not see the world, or the framing of the Republic in right and left terms. The whole notion of “right” and “left” is a European construct — literally where members sat in chambers while performing their legislative duties. Those that sat on the left side of the chamber were typically communists/socialists, while those that sat on the right were typically fascists. Both of these European right and left models trend toward big government control over individual choices, place less emphasis on individual liberty, and more emphasis on “collective” salvation. Although they represent different models in regard to property ownership, and a few points — in terms of power over people they are more alike than different.

The Founders, including Thomas Jefferson (author of the Declaration of Independence) George Mason (Father of the Bill of Rights) Patrick Henry, and James Madison (Father of the Constitution) saw government structures “up” and “down” terms. Up represented maximum control or tyrannical government (which they had been living under and fighting against) while “down” represents maximum freedom. If one establishes a government with too little government, anarchy is the result. The precursor to the Constitution was the Articles of Confederation, which only provided a loose confederation of “friendship” between the states. The federal government was too weak (many felt) to work long term, and created as many problems as it solved. The proposed Constitution moved government power “up” to solve the problems seen under the Articles. Many Founders had problems with the Constitution as it was initially proposed (without a Bill of rights) as they felt it pushed the scale too far upward toward greater control. Many were worried about setting up a new government that could only too quickly become just like the one they fought to free themselves from; Founders like Patrick Henry, George Mason, Thomas Paine and Herman Husband had their concerns, and some actively fought against the Constitution’s ratification.

What always seems hard (or maybe impossible) to do is to understand the Founders on their own terms, and not attempt to plop them down in 21st century America, amid the constructs we have created to understand the world today with our definitions – not theirs. In my opinion, if the Founders were resurrected today, and we defined them with our words like “Progressive, Communist, Socialist, right and left, they would look at us like we just sprouted a second head. They saw the world through the prism of kings and subjects, liberty vs. tyranny. Perhaps, if we more often used their measuring stick of government, we would see more clearly examples of abuse before it develops, and certainly when it happens, regardless of which party is abusing Constitutional powers.

It is defined as a particularly adroit maneuver or technique in handling a difficult situation, a feat of skill or strength, a feat requiring great virtuosity or strength, often deliberately undertaken for its difficulty.”

It is possible and I’m sure it has crossed your mind many of times. For a matter of fact, with the present condition of the US economy and coupled with the inability to pay the Chinese debt, it most certainly leans more towards “Realistic.” I have thought about the American dollar and its elasticity. How far can it stretch?

Synopsis and Concept:

SYNOPSIS:

It is 2012. The US delegation and the Chinese delegation meet in Beijing to discuss the US debt to China and all hell gets lose in a clash between these two super powers.

CONCEPT:

Writer-Director Orestes Matacena wrote the “Two de Force” story in the beginning of 2010 and everything that he wrote and was shot many months ago is happening right now in real life. It’s kind of eerie.

Of course, “Two de Force” is a movie not a documentary. “Two de Force” is a drama with action and humor that exercises poetic license. Throughout the story, all the political characters are seen as normal people who happen to be in powerful positions. Orestes wanted to show how these men and women act the same way we do when they are not in front of a television camera or at a public gathering. More importantly, he explores the big picture of politics, and he questions who really pulls the political strings that govern our daily lives and ultimately determine our future.

The story does not encourage partisan politics in any way, as we allow for an array of opinions to be represented. The goal of the story is not to encourage the audience to pick sides. Instead, the goal is to challenge the viewer to think about the big picture and how all of us are affected by the decisions of regular people that happen to be elected to office in their respective countries. And, in this story, these “regular guys” happen to be the leaders of the two major world powers.

Normally, we only get to see what is allowed to be presented to the public at large. But, what if we could see what happens behind closed doors. . ….Go to Official Movie Website

I wasn’t as informed as i should have concerning all the terms that were floating around as analytical tools during the latest congressional fiasco which was finally sorted it out on the next-to-last day before the government of the United States defaulted. I was following the new developments closely but was not schooled on all the terminology that was floating around. I was basically upset because of the fact that the great country I live in has to be in the futile position it is. So I started to investigate and learn more about the terminology. And since these adjustments that finally broke the stalemate between the House and the Senate will not really make much of a difference, then it would be beneficial for us all to make ourselves more familiar with the state of our financial future.

Federal Deficit (Federal Debt): An excess of federal government spending over tax collections. The federal deficit has been the subject of on-again, off-again debates among vote-seeking politicians and pointy-headed economists for a number of years. The main points of the debate are: (1) the potential crowding out of investment in capital goods, (2) the use of borrowed funds for either “consumption” or “investment” government purchases, and (3) the constraints imposed on fiscal policy. The jury of pointy-heads remains undecided on these issues…Link

National Deficit: The sum of all previously incurred annual federal deficits. Since the deficits are financed by government borrowing, national debt is equal to all government debt outstanding. also called National Debt….Link

The National Debt Clock

Government Debt (National Debt, Public Debt): Government debt (“public debt”, “national debt”) is money owed by government, at any level (central government, federal government, national government, municipal government, local government, regional government).

It’s possible to consider this an indirect debt of the tax payers.

Government debt can be divided into internal debt, owed to lenders within the country, and external debt, owed to foreign lenders. It consists of government bonds, bank loans, and according to some measures, unfunded liabilities such as pension plan payments and goods and services the government has contracted for but not yet paid……Link

Gross Domestic Product (GDP): Economic growth is measured in terms of an increase in the size of a nation’s economy. A broad measure of an economy’s size is its output. The most widely-used measure of economic output is the Gross Domestic Product (abbreviated GDP).

GDP generally is defined as the market value of the goods and services produced by a country. One way to calculate a nation’s GDP is to sum all expenditures in the country. This method is known as the expenditure approach and is described below…….Link

Debt Ceiling: What is a “debt ceiling”? What is the current debt ceiling of the United States? What is the definition of a debt ceiling?

The concept is a debt ceiling is pretty simple.

A “debt ceiling” is the maximum amount of debt that a government can take on.

For instance, the United States currently has a debt ceiling of $12.1 trillion dollars.

Considering that the country currently owes $12.09 trillion dollars, this is obviously a problem.

In order to spend past this ceiling, Congress must agree to raise it.

Since 2002, Congress has had to raise the ceiling seven times, with an eighth expected sometime during the next month.

As it stands right now, Democrats are calling for a $1.8 trillion dollar hike in the debt ceiling, while Republicans are trying to freeze the ceiling.

The purpose of the debt ceiling is to try to limit out-of-control spending, but it certainly hasn’t had the desired effect over the past 6-7 years……Read More

This Yahoo Link (Daily Ticker) Explanation and Video from May 16, 2011 helps explain more:

What does this really mean anyway?

Well, first…let’s define debt ceiling: “It is the level of government borrowing allowed by Congress.” Think of the debt ceiling like the government’s credit card limit… and it’s maxed out. The current debt ceiling sits at $14.294 Trillion. This is the amount of money the government is legally allowed to borrow to fund all its functions – from defense to education to entitlement programs. But don’t worry just yet. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says the government can continue to pay its debts until August 2nd thanks to higher-than-expected tax revenue and “extraordinary measures” such as stopping the issuance of State and Local Government Series bonds, which fund infrastructure and other projects. In addition, Geithner says he is going to stop making contributions to the pension plans of certain federal employees.

To put the debt ceiling in historical perspective: Congress has voted 10 times in past decade to raise the debt ceiling, typically without much fuss. But this year is different. Many House Republicans say they won’t vote to raise the debt ceiling unless the Obama administration agrees to big spending cuts, or at least tough restrictions on future spending. The White House says the debt ceiling vote should be separate from the budget debate, so an All-American standoff is occurring….More Here

Then you have Public Debt, Gross National Debt, The Federal Budget and it goes on and on……….

Click on Image to obtain Real-Time Numbers

Here you have the Real-Time Numbers which effect the US Deficit. By rolling the mouse over each title of the categories listed there, one could find out it’s significance. One can click on the World Debt Clock and the State Debt Clock (Top left-hand corner) to get more specific information. On the Bottom there are other places to click on, for example Auto Sales or Gold/Precious Metals. It can be very difficult to understand and further reading is necessary. I am providing the basics here but enough to continue on.

And what about the “43 Cents on the Dollar”

All Based on these White House numbers. If you divide the fiscal 2012 federal budget by spending one would get 57 cents of every dollar. The amount the government spends comes from revenue, which means the other 43 cents are borrowed. Go to the CBO website and find out more.

It could be very complicated but there are tutorials and guides available. Here’s one prepared by David Rosen (High School level). On How Stuff Works you can read their short and uncomplicated definition.

I’ve been using Mozilla’s Thunderbird for about 7 years now and I have seen it grow to the very best email client. Thunderbird is another great product of Mozilla, the makers of Firefox. Firefox has become the most reliable browser in the internet for Windows based operating systems. I just updated the newest version of Thunderbird, 5.0 and the interface is outrageous! Before I go on, take a look at the History of Mozilla:

The Mozilla project was created in 1998 with the release of the Netscape browser suite source code that was intended to harness the creative power of thousands of programmers on the Internet and fuel unprecedented levels of innovation in the browser market. Within the first year, new community members from around the world had already contributed new functionality, enhanced existing features and became engaged in the management and planning of the project itself.

By creating an open community, the Mozilla project had become larger than any one company. Community members got involved and expanded the scope of the project’s original mission—instead of just working on Netscape’s next browser, people started creating a variety of browsers, development tools and a range of other projects. People contributed to Mozilla in different ways, but everyone was passionate about creating free software that would enable people to have a choice in how they experienced the Internet.

After several years of development, Mozilla 1.0, the first major version, was released in 2002. This version featured many improvements to the browser, email client and other applications included in the suite, but not many people were using it. By 2002, well over 90% of Internet users were browsing with Internet Explorer. Not many people noticed at the time, but the first version of Phoenix (later renamed to Firefox) was also released by Mozilla community members that year with the goal of providing the best possible browsing experience to the widest possible set of people.

In 2003, the Mozilla project created the Mozilla Foundation, an independent non-profit organization supported by individual donors and a variety of companies. The new Mozilla Foundation continued the role of managing the daily operations of the project and also officially took on the role of promoting openness, innovation, and opportunity on the Internet. It did this by continuing to release software, such as Firefox and Thunderbird, and expanding to new areas, such as providing grants to support accessibility improvements on the Web….Learn More

Everything about Mozilla is professional and simple to use. Not to mention, Lightweight and Stand-Alone. The new 5.0 Thunderbird features so much and there are Add-Ons available too but not necessary because it looks great, as is. The greatest advantage one has with Thunderbird is how you can integrate other web-based emails and you can handle it in one place. Learn more about Thunderbird, it will make your life much easy. The setup wizard does it all for you:

Mail Account Setup Wizard

Prior to this feature you had to know your IMAP, SMTP, and SSL/TLS settings. Now all you need to provide is your name, email address, and password and the email account set up wizardry will check our database and find the email settings for you.

Thunderbird is an open source program which means it’s free and is for all to use. It is always recommended to use these type of programs but only if they are updated regularly and which means they are reliable, popular and have many developers working to improve it further. Download Thunderbird and enjoy it. And don’t forget Firefox also.

So after all, Obama proves me right, by releasing the only hope left to prove that he is an African-American. Now that we are all relaxed and have some downtime to gather our minds back to reality, we can concentrate on the the term African-American and all the misinterpretation and all the hype created before and after Obama was elected president of the united States of America. He was born in Hawaii and is now considered to be “American.” I cannot say that I am American because I was born in Cuba and makes me Cuban-American. And with this recent news about Obama, we finally find out that Obama is just an American. It should also be noted and changed on all the history books that Obama is NOT the first African-American to be elected as president of the United States of America. Here’s a Google Search link that shows all the results for “ Obama is the first African-American president in the history of the United States of America.” Even the White House official website should fix this paragraph:

He went on to attend law school, where he became the first African—American president of the Harvard Law Review. Upon graduation, he returned to Chicago to help lead a voter registration drive, teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago, and remain active in his community….Read More

But then again, he is also the first Black President ever in the history of the USA. Which means that if there were, let’s say, a black skinned man or woman who’s parents were born in India but he or she was born here in America and were running for president, let’s say, the upcoming 2012 presidential election and won, then he or she would considered to be the “Second Black American President” ever in the history of the United States. This proves nothing or does it? It all depends how much one would go outside of the box to prove to themselves what is more important when voting for any candidate running for office. It also proves how much out of touch and misinformed most people are with the term “Race.” We as Americans should take some time to learn more of the exact definition of the word Race and not the term “Race.” Now, we are getting somewhere or are we?

Traditionally, Race was chiefly determined by physical characteristics. Facial features, skin pigmentation, head shapes and hair texture:

Race, one of the group of populations regarded as constituting humanity. The differences that have historically determined the classification into races are predominantly physical aspects of appearance that are generally hereditary. Genetically a race may be defined as a group with gene frequencies differing from those of the other groups in the human species (see heredity
; genetics
; gene
), but the genes responsible for the hereditary differences between the traditional races are extremely few when compared with the vast number of genes common to all human beings regardless of the race to which they belong. Many physical anthropologists now believe that, because there is as much genetic variation among the members of any given race as there is between the groups identified as different races, the concept of race is unscientific and unsound and racial categories are arbitrary designations. The term race is inappropriate when applied to national, religious, geographic, linguistic, or ethnic groups, nor can the physical appearances associated with race be equated with mental characteristics, such as intelligence, personality, or character.

All human groups belong to the same species (Homo sapiens) and are mutually fertile. Races arose as a result of mutation
, selection, and adaptational changes in human populations. The nature of genetic variation in human beings indicates there has been a common evolution for all races and that racial differentiation occurred relatively late in the history of Homo sapiens. Theories postulating the very early emergence of racial differentiation have been advanced (e.g., C. S. Coon
, The Origin of Races, 1962), but they are now scientifically discredited.

Attempts at Classification

To classify humans on the basis of physical traits is difficult, for the coexistence of races through conquests, invasions, migrations, and mass deportations has produced a heterogeneous world population. Nevertheless, by limiting the criteria to such traits as skin pigmentation, color and form of hair, shape of head, stature, and form of nose, most anthropologists historically agreed on the existence of three relatively distinct groups: the Caucasoid, the Mongoloid, and the Negroid.

The Caucasoid, found in Europe, N Africa, and the Middle East to N India, is characterized as pale reddish white to olive brown in skin color, of medium to tall stature, with a long or broad head form. The hair is light blond to dark brown in color, of a fine texture, and straight or wavy. The color of the eyes is light blue to dark brown and the nose bridge is usually high.

The Mongoloid race, including most peoples of E Asia and the indigenous peoples of the Americas, has been described as saffron to yellow or reddish brown in skin color, of medium stature, with a broad head form. The hair is dark, straight, and coarse; body hair is sparse. The eyes are black to dark brown. The epicanthic fold, imparting an almond shape to the eye, is common, and the nose bridge is usually low or medium.

The Negroid race is characterized by brown to brown-black skin, usually a long head form, varying stature, and thick, everted lips. The hair is dark and coarse, usually kinky. The eyes are dark, the nose bridge low, and the nostrils broad. To the Negroid race belong the peoples of Africa south of the Sahara, the Pygmy groups of Indonesia, and the inhabitants of New Guinea and Melanesia.

Each of these broad groups can be divided into subgroups. General agreement is lacking as to the classification of such people as the aborigines of Australia, the Dravidian people of S India, the Polynesians, and the Ainu of N Japan within the traditional three race system. These exceptions highlight the problems associated with attempting to classify humanity into races and also challenge the validity of the notion of race when applied to human beings…..Read More

But there are other factors that change the traditional, this interesting article is very helpful:

Confusions About Human Races

By R.C. Lewontin

Published on: Jun 07, 2006

R.C. Lewontin, Alexander Agassiz Professor Emeritus of Zoology at Harvard University, has written a number of books and articles on evolution and human variation, including Biology as Ideology: The Doctrine of DNA and The Triple Helix: Gene, Organism, and Environment

Over the last thirty five years a major change has taken place in our biological understanding of the concept of human “race,” largely as a consequence of an immense increase in our knowledge of human genetics. As a biological rather than a social construct, “race” has ceased to be seen as a fundamental reality characterizing the human species. Nevertheless, there appear from time to time claims that racial categories represent not arbitrary socially and historically defined groups but objective biological divisions based on genetic differences. The most recent widely noticed rebirth of such claims is an essay by Armand Marie Leroi on the Op-Ed page of The New York Times (March 14, 2005), an essay that illustrates both the classical confusions about the reality of racial categories and the more recent erroneous conclusions about the relevance of such racial identifications for medical practice.

There are four facts about human variation upon which there is universal agreement. First, the human species as a whole has immense genetic variation from individual to individual. Any two unrelated human beings differ by about 3 million distinct DNA variants.

Second, by far the largest amount of that variation, about 85%, is among individuals within local national or linguistic populations, within the French, within the Kikuyu, within the Japanese. There is diversity from population to population in how much genetic variation each contains, depending upon how much immigration into the population has occurred from a variety of other groups and also on the size of the population. The United States, with a very large population whose ancestors came from all over the earth including the original inhabitants of the New World, is genetically very variable whereas small populations of local Amazonian tribes are less genetically variable, although they are by no means genetically uniform. Despite the differences in amount of genetic variation within local populations, the finding that on the average 85% of all human genetic variation is within local populations has been a remarkably consistent result of independent studies carried out over twenty-five years using data from both proteins and DNA.

Of the remaining 15% of human variation, between a quarter and a half is between local populations within classically defined human “races,” between the French and the Ukrainians, between the Kikuyu and the Ewe, between the Japanese and the Koreans. The remaining variation, about 6% to 10% of the total human variation is between the classically defined geographical races that we think of in an everyday sense as identified by skin color, hair form, and nose shape. This imprecision in assigning the proportion of variation assigned to differences among population within ”races” as compared to variation among “races,” arises precisely because there is no objective way to assign the various human populations to clear-cut races. Into which “race” do the Hindi and Urdu speakers of the Indian sub-continent fall? Should they be grouped with Europeans or with Asians or should a separate race be assigned to them? Are the Lapps of Finland and the Hazari of Afghanistan really Europeans or Asians? What about Indonesians and Melanesians? Different biologists have made different assignments and the number of “races” assigned by anthropologists and geneticists has varied from 3 to 30.

Third, a small number of genetic traits, such as skin color, hair form, nose shape (traits for which the genes have not actually been identified) and a relatively few proteins like the Rh blood type, vary together so that many populations with very dark skin color will also have dark tightly curled hair, broad noses and a high frequency of the Rh blood type R0. Those who, like Leroi, argue for the objective reality of racial divisions claim that when such covariation is taken into account, clear-cut racial divisions will appear and that these divisions will correspond largely to the classical division of the world into Whites, Blacks, Yellows, Reds and Browns. It is indeed possible to combine the information from covarying traits into weighted averages that take account of the traits’ covariation (technically known as “principal components” of variation). When this has been done, however, the results have not borne out the claims for racial divisions. The geographical maps of principal component values constructed by Cavalli, Menozzi and Piazza in their famous The History and Geography of Human Genes show continuous variation over the whole world with no sharp boundaries and with no greater similarity occurring between Western and Eastern Europeans than between Europeans and Africans! Thus, the classically defined races do not appear from an unprejudiced description of human variation. Only the Australian Aborigines appear as a unique group.

A clustering of populations that does correspond to classical continental “races” can be acheived by using a special class of non-functional DNA, microsatellites. By selecting among microsatellites, it is possible to find a set that will cluster together African populations, European populations, and Asian populations, etc. These selected microsatellite DNA markers are not typical of genes, however, but have been chosen precisely because they are “maximally informative” about group differences. Thus, they tell us what we already knew about the differences between populations of the classical “races” from skin color, face shape, and hair form. They have the added advantage of allowing us to make good estimates of the amount of intermixture that has occurred between populations as a result of migrations and conquests…..Read More

So here we have it. A much better understanding of the human race, how it is determined and the ever growing complexity behind it all. Attempting to determine and classifying a person’s race is becoming almost impossible. And all because of the political and economical migrating occurring from continent to continent. Not only do find out more about races but we learn more about the term race here in America and how it is misinterpreted.

Nowhere was the term “Race” used or better said misused, more than in the 2008 presidential election. The headlines of the “The First African-American” president and “The First Black American President” in the history of the United States. It was an completely false and was the reason why Obama was elected president. The American people in general, fell into the trap of the “Race Card” and the Obama campaign managers really milked it. This irresponsibility of creating a racial divide worked just great, as they were able to praise the poor but at the same time, make them feel degraded and unimportant. That’s when the slogan “Hope” and “Change” came into play. They created a mood of self-conscience incapability within the so-called Black and/or African-Americans. They worked hard on this “concept” of African-American and Black Americans directly and coupled it together with the “guilty” self-conscience concept of the so-called non-African and non-Black Americans. They made everyone guilty of each other and gave them the solution, Obama. He was their “savior.” Meanwhile, Obama’s inexperience was thrown to the side and discarded. A man with no experience at all, in charge of the United States of America in control of a Liberal-Leftist congress with radical Socialist ideals.

So Now, almost three years into the “Obama Administration” we have the release of the “official” birth certificate of Obama which shows him being born in America. Finally proving that Obama is an “American” and not an “African-American” and obviously not a “Black-American.” The ones who voted for Obama because of this were fooled by the “Race Card” agenda created by the Obama campaign and never took the opportunity to analyze the candidates. Now, almost three years into the “Obama Administration” they realize that it’s all politics and they were fooled again. It was all a big “Hoax.”

I’m sorry but I must say that there never was, there is none and there will never be a more “Complete” Rock N’ Roll band ever! No band played together and more professional then this band, simply the best! Oh, I know, you’ll try and try to find a better band, that’s for sure. And there’s nothing wrong with exploring and listening to different styles, nothing at all. But 9 times out of ten, no matter how many years past after listening to Led Zeppelin, you will come around, full circle and finally admit it, they are the best! Here’s their official website, great stuff!

Here’s a Great Two-Part Video which I personally think will help you understand where I am coming from, recorded in 1969, ENJOY! Pay close attention to the chords that electric guitarist Jimmy Page plays when he is introduced, doesn’t it sound familiar??

……Now 7:30

The UN finally passes the resolution (1 Hour ago):

UPDATE: The vote passes! 10 yes, 5 abstain, 0 vote no.

Time to get the jets in the air.

AMAZING images on Al Jazeera showing celebration in the streets of Benghazi. Get ready for a huge battle.

Original post: The UN Security Council is preparing to vote on the Libya no-fly zone.

First come statements from various countries.

The French representative is speaking first, talking about a “new Arab spring.”

You can watch the UN’s live feed below.

We explained the process earlier in the day. 9 votes are needed to pass the draft resolution. In addition to the no-fly, the resolution will apparently call for a big asset freeze.

It’s likely to pass. Word is that Russia, Germany, Brazil, China, and India will abstain, rather than vote no. If there had been any doubt about the vote, Qaddafi’s fate was probably sealed when he threatened to massacre citizens of Benghazi quite explicitly……UN Updates

Russia, China, Germany and Brazil took a back seat. Gadhafi is ignoring and because it has taken 3 weeks to pass this. The British and the French will be in the air in a couple of hour. Egypt is providing the the freedom fighters with over-land help (Weapons). The United States will only provide strategic help at the start but eventually will enter afterwords.

The TV networks are behind in real-time coverage, the internet is the best way to update:

By Robert Winnett,, Deputy Political Editor, Jon Swaine in New York and Richard Spencer in Tripoli 11:26PM GMT 17 Mar 2011

The first raids, possibly conducted by unmanned drones, could happen within hours if Colonel Gaddafi acts on his threat to “show no mercy” to rebels in Benghazi.

The RAF could become involved in any operation by this evening, according to British sources. However, the raids may be spearheaded by an Arab nation such as Qatar or the UAE.

Last night, Col Gaddafi threatened to launch retaliation attacks against passenger aircraft in the Mediterranean if foreign countries launch air strikes against Libya.

The Libyan regime said that “any foreign military act” would expose “all air and maritime traffic in the Mediterranean Sea” as targets for a counter attack.

The warning was sounded within hours of the American Government formally backing a joint British and French initiative for a no-fly zone and other military action to be taken against Col Gaddafi’s regime.

Last night, the UN met and endorsed a resolution which authorised the world to take “all necessary measures” to prevent attacks on Libyan civilians by the Gaddafi regime.

It also enforced a no-fly zone to prevent air attacks, strengthened an arms embargo against Tripoli and reinforced a freeze on the financial assets of Gaddafi and his aides.

The resolution, which was proposed by the US, Britain and Lebanon, caused a split among leading powers, with China, Russia, Germany, India and Brazil all abstaining from voting.

It marked a dramatic escalation in the international response to the month-long Libyan crisis – with signs that diplomats were at odds over a military response at the beginning of the week. However, Col Gaddafi’s brutal crushing of the uprising alarmed many members of the UN Security Council…….Read More

And…

REUTERS – Libyan troops pushed forward towards the insurgent stronghold of Benghazi on Thursday and launched air raids on its outskirts as momentum gathered in support of air raids to stop Muammar Gaddafi’s forces.

The United States hoped the U.N. Security Council would pass a resolution later on Thursday that included, but was not limited to, the possibility of imposing a no-fly zone over Libya, raising the prospect of bombing raids.

France believes there is enough support to pass the resolution and military intervention could take place within hours of that, a senior French diplomatic source said.

Any action could include France, Britain, possibly the United States and one or more Arab states, the source said.

The push towards action at the Security Council comes as pro-Gaddafi forces have made rapid advances in their counter-attack against the rebels.

U.S. Undersecretary of State William Burns said Gaddafi’s forces had made “significant strides on the ground” and were now about 160 km (100 miles) from Benghazi.

The Libyan army, which has been attacking rebel-held cities in the east and west of the country, said it would halt its operations on Sunday to give the rebels a chance to surrender, Al Arabiya television reported.

Libyan state television said government troops had taken Zueitina, an oil port on the coastal highway 130 km (80 miles) from Benghazi, but the rebels said they had surrounded the pro-Gaddafi units on the approaches to the town.

In Benghazi, the city where the revolution began, residents and a rebel spokesman reported three air strikes on the outskirts, including at the airport, and another air raid further south.

Residential areas of Ajdabiyah, a strategic town on the coast road to Benghazi, was the scene of heavy fighting on Thursday and around 30 people were killed, Al Arabiya reported.

On the approaches to Ajdabiyah, burned-out cars lay by the roadside while Libyan government forces showed the foreign media artillery, tanks and mobile rocket launchers — much heavier weapons than those used by the rebels.

In Libya’s third city, Misrata, about 200 km (130 miles) east of Tripoli, rebels and residents said they were preparing for a new attack by Libyan troops, who had shelled the coastal city overnight. A government spokesman said Gaddafi’s forces expected to be in control of Misrata by Friday morning.

The United States, previously cool on the idea of a foreign military intervention, said the U.N. Security Council should consider tougher action than a no-fly zone over Libya.

Discussions are under way on the possible direct involvement of Arab nations in any international military action against Gaddafi, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said.

U.S. officials said on Thursday that Washington wanted the United Nations to authorize not just a no-fly zone to aid Libyan rebels but also air strikes against Libyan tanks and heavy artillery.

Referring to the U.N. resolution on Libya that Washington hopes will be passed later on Thursday, Clinton said:

“It is important to recognize that military experts across the world know that a no-fly zone requires certain actions taken to protect the planes and the pilots, including bombing targets like the Libyan defence system.”

Britain said the latest draft resolution on Libya under discussion at the United Nations called for “all necessary measures short of an occupation force” to protect civilians under threat of attack.

Russia, China, Germany, India and other council members are either undecided or have voiced doubts about the proposal for a no-fly zone. Italy, a potential base for military action, ruled out military intervention in the oil-exporting country.

Army advances

Gaddafi, in an interview with the French daily Le Figaro, said his troops’ aim was to liberate the people from “the armed gangs” that occupy Benghazi.

“If we used force, it would take just a day. But our aim is to progressively dismantle the armed groups, through various means, such as encircling cities or sending negotiators.”

Asked if dialogue with the rebels was possible, he repeated his assertion that they were linked to the al Qaeda Islamic militant group.

“These are not people with whom we aim to talk, as al Qaeda does not talk with anybody.”

On the fate of the rebel leadership, he said: “It is quite possible they will flee. Anyway, it’s not really a structure. It has no value.”

I will be back in a few hours as I gather more information………
