"Not just about Cuba" By Jose Reyes 10/30/2007 A few weeks ago I ran into a great Blog named "Pinceladas de Cuba" and I was able to contact Cuban-American Frank A. Caner who is the sole owner. He returned my email immediately and I proudly placed him on my "Anti-Fidel International Blogs" link. We write to each other very frequently, exchanging ideas but yesterday I realized in one of his emails that there were links to two other Blogs listed on the bottom after his message to me. I said to myself in a very investigative way, "What are these two links?", you see I'm always searching for Blogs to add to my master list. I realized that these two Blogs were owned by Frank also, so I emailed him and asked him in a curious but anticipating manner, why he had opened the other two Blogs. Not to my surprise, explaining why I anticipated and the reason you are reading this article, he answered, in a broken down English, "I created the other two Blogs because these people are fighting for their freedom of speech and they need our support". Thank you Frank, "you got it", this is the right attitude and the right tactic to combat all the Tyranny and all the Totalitarianism there is around the world at the present moment. The world I said, because his other two Blogs are "Not just about Cuba", they concentrate on Venezuela and Burma. By concentrating, I mean well searched updates along with meaningful literature concerning the topic freedom and all in an everyday basis. I'm proud of him and I am very honored to be working alongside him. It is very refreshing to see how Frank overlooked and bypassed all the political rhetoric restrictions posed upon all of us and concern himself more on writing of what the real issue here is all about and that is "Freedom of Expression", the god-given right to "freely" speak your opinion in "public" without suffering any consequences and without being punished for doing so. This is what the people of Venezuela and Burma are simply trying to do. Note, this is not the first time someone has done this, for we also have Asha from "Italy" who runs LARSS and we also have, of course, many others who concentrate on Venezuela and Cuba with some news from Bolivia simply because they are Castro related. Well Frank is on the same path as Asha and I congratulate him but he is, I feel, starting a new trend, the road where I was headed before I kind of veered away for a while. I'm going to get back on track and follow Franks lead, I will recruit more but in a global manner. I'm going to communicate even more with anyone and everyone around the world who is struggling to express their opinion, with those who have lost their right to speak their mind. I hope you join us and help others who are being tortured, beaten and persecuted like animals just because they are seeking freedom. Its not just about Cuba anymore and its becoming clearer that politics is not the main issue anymore either, its about "Human Rights" and "Human Life". I have also noticed that there's been an influx of many Spanish speaking Blogs in the last year, which also prompted me to write this article about "Pinceladas de Cuba" and its satellites. There is a new phenomenon in the Blogmosphere, there are many new Blog owners now, they are very interesting, they are very determined and they have joined our global struggle for freedom. Many of these Bloggers are Cubans who arrived in America the last 10 years and I've noticed the same trend with them also. They do not want to talk about politics anymore, there are no more real intelligent leaders anymore, we have thugs, thieves and terrorists now and we must react. Its just about freedom now and Frank has taken it to another level. Thank You Frank! |
