| "A Commie Propaganda Cartoon" Posted by Jose Reyes This Cartoon appeared on the Washington Post several days ago on August 22nd 2007. Cartoonist Pat Oliphant, referring to the 2008 elections and Mr. Obama, thought very hard and drew a conclusion of his personal opinion of Cuban-Americans and of Cuban exiles throughout the world who have fled Fidel Castro's Communist terrorist rule in Cuba, which is in its 48th year. This is way out of line and that is why I created this link, now anyone who would like to express their opinion of this racist cartoon, can do so. Mr. Oliphant has his opinion and so does the Washington Post, that's understood here, but this is a direct attack on all Cubans outside of Cuba and an indirect attack on all the freedom loving Cubans inside of Cuba. The Washington Post is also open for criticism in this case because they took it upon themselves and assumed responsibility to post this decrepit statement on their commie loving newspaper and website. Dr. Antonio de la Cova has responded magnificently by sending an open letter to the Washington Post and it could be seen on Babalu Blog, great job! KillCastro also posted a story of how the Republicans did not pick up on it, including the 3 Cuban politicians in Washington. I feel there are many more who would love for their voice to be heard also, what do you think? I will leave this link opened indefinitely, by no means does this cartoon reflect the opinion of Americans in general and that's exactly why I am outraged so much about this illustration, this is a perfect example of how left-winged newspapers and websites work, this is a straight forward example of communist propaganda. I will not let this one slide, not one bit, this is a direct attack on Cubans of all ages and a direct humanitarian attack on any person who had to leave their country of origin because their freedom was taken from them. This is also a cowardly act by Mr. Oliphant and the Washington Post because they know very well, that the people in Cuba right now are not able to express their opinion about anything, never mind this discriminating cartoon. I repeat again, this link will remain opened forever! Take a good look at the Cartoon above and place your comments below, if you would like to be heard. If after reading this, you still feel this is just a a racist cartoon and there is no political agenda behind it, then take another look at the cartoon, concentrate more an look at the boat and what do you see? Only old people, from the original Cuba Excilio when Castro took over power. Look at how they try to separate the Cuban people using age groups (Young vs Old), look at how they try to separate the Cubans by their political preference (Batista vs no Batista) and exile groups ( 1960's vs 80's vs 90's).
